Mighty Quinn peaked at no 6 on the Go-Set National Top 40 in April 1968.
This was written by Bob Dylan, but Manfred Mann was the first to record it. It was rare for Dylan to let anyone record one of his songs before he did, but “Quinn The Eskimo” was an exception.
The subject of the song is the arrival of Quinn (an Eskimo), who changes despair into joy and chaos into rest, and attracts attention from the animals.
This song is also on our Spotify playlist.
