Turn Up Your Radio peaked at no 7 on the Go-Set National Top 40 on 6 June 1970.
‘Turn Up Your Radio’ was recorded at a late-night session and Jim Keays later recounted that he was so drunk when he recorded his vocals that he had to be held up to the microphone. The song was deliberately designed to be loud and offensive, and was intended as the final nail in the coffin to their ill-conceived teenybopper image.
