The title, This Is Tomorrow was inspired by a 1956 exhibition of pop art at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London, devised by Richard Hamilton, who had taught Ferry at Newcastle University.
A promotional video (shown above) was shot during a 1977 tour*, during a sound check, in Japan and is available on the DVD released with The Best Of Bryan Ferry in 2009.
*Bryan performed 4 shows in Japan in the middle of a 17-show tour of Australia.
