Originally intended as the B-side of the band’s 1970 single Baby Blue Eyes, the song Then I Run attracted radio attention and became the sought-after song. Neither song was released on an album at the time. Then I Run, rather than Baby Blue Eyes, was chosen for the 1970 compilation album 20 Explosive Hits.
Following the release of Then I Run/Baby Blue Eyes, Doug Parkinson in Focus disbanded when Parkinson and Johnny Dick relocated to the United Kingdom in June 1970.
