Nights in White Satin was barely noticed in Australia when it was first released in 1967. It entered the Kent charts on 10 Feb 1968 and peaked at #95. However a subsequent re-release was more successful, when it entered the Kent charts on 4 December 1972 and peaked at #8. It was the #36 song on the Top 100 of 1973.
The song is on Days of Future Passed which entered the Kent album charts on 22 January 1973 and peaked at #18.
