History of Australian Music 1960-2000:
Mick Rogers (ex The Playboys, Doug Parkinson In Focus and Procession) formed Bulldog with Bob Dames (ex The Purple Hearts) and Peter Miles (ex Bay City Union) in 1970. They were a progressive hard rock three piece band that only ever released one single, the traditional folk song Man of Constant Sorrow, with their own song Inner Spring on the B-side. It was released in Australia on the Fable label and in the US on the small Guyden label. Bulldog disbanded when Mick Rogers (vocalist) joined the initial lineup of Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
