Wikipedia:
Cry Me a River is a popular American torch song, written by Arthur Hamilton, first published in 1953 and first made famous in 1955 with a version by Julie London.
Joe Cocker released it on his live album Mad Dogs & Englishmen in 1970. Besides the contributions of bandmate and musical director Leon Russell, the album draws equally from rock (the Rolling Stones, Traffic, Bob Dylan, the Beatles) and soul (Ray Charles, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding).
