Singer/songwriter Kevin Johnson was born in Rockhampton Qld in 1942. He got his start as a songwriter for Col Joye and others during the mid-60s and began recording his own songs.
Johnson will always be remembered for his two biggest singles, Bonnie Please Don’t Go and Rock and Roll (I Gave You the Best Years of My Life). The latter charted in the USA and many parts of Europe and led to extensive touring and the release of a series of well-crafted albums.
