Songfacts:
The Ronettes released the original version of Baby, I Love You, taking it to #24 in the US in 1964. Five years later, Andy Kim had a bigger hit with his cover, which climbed to #9 and was a #1 hit in his native Canada.
The song’s co-writer Jeff Barry and Andy Kim often worked together, and one day Kim was in Barry’s office, where he discovered the sheet music. The song wasn’t big in Canada, so Kim had never heard it before. He started playing it on his guitar, and when Barry heard him, they decided to record it with Barry producing. It was used as the lead single and title track to Kim’s 1969 album.

Lyrics:
Have I ever told you
How good it feels to hold you
It isn’t easy to explain
And though I’m really trying
I think I may start crying
My heart can’t wait another day
When you touch me I just got to say
Baby I love you,baby I love you
