Wikipedia:
Mother Goose formed in Dunedin, New Zealand in 1975, then moved to Australia in 1976, basing themselves in Melbourne. New manager Garry Spry showcased the band at his Babes nightclub, and Mushroom Records offered them a recording contract.
Mother Goose’s debut album, Stuffed, was released in 1977. The album spawned their biggest hit Baked Beans, a novelty song purporting the romance-promoting properties of the titular dish.
Mother Goose moved to America in 1978, then returned to Australia in 1979. They continued touring Australia and Canada until they broke up in 1984.
