The music video revolves around a fictional courtroom trial, featuring Eric Stewart as the defendant who is alleged to have committed a grand theft auto, and Graham Gouldman as the judge. Stewart and Gouldman also play various other characters with Paul Burgess, including members of the jury. The trial eventually ends with the conviction of the defendant, who is incarcerated.

Good Morning Judge was released as the second single from 10cc’s 1977 album Deceptive Bends, following The Things We Do For Love.
By this time, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme had split with Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman, so they brought in drummer Paul Burgess for the album, who had already done some work with 10cc.
