Just love this song, in fact it was the first song I used to make my song Pictures game, in which you guess the song from the pictures.
I Started a Joke – The Bee Gees (1968)
Such a sad song, really emotive.
Most People I Know (Think That I’m Crazy) – Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs (1972)
Saw Billy perform this new song at the Heyfield Pop Festival way back in 1972.
And When I Die – Blood Sweat & Tears (1968)
Just a great song, lyrics and music.
Summer (The First Time) – Bobby Goldsboro (1973)
A really good summer song, you can feel the summer heat on a beach.
Space Oddity – David Bowie (1975)
My first introduction to Bowie, have not looked back.
Rock On – David Essex (1973)
Love this song. I thought it was a bit odd to include it in the film ‘That’ll Be The Day’. It just seemed out of place as all other songs were ’50s and ’60s.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – Elton John (1973)
Another brilliant song by Bernie Taupin and perfectly sung by Elton. I do not get tired of his early stuff.
In the Ghetto – Elvis Presley (1969)
Such a sad song, really emotive.
Little Green Bag – George Baker Selection (1970)
Just love this song and its video, and the movie ‘Reservoir Dogs’.
Turn the Page – Jon English (1975)
Another brilliant song by Jon English. I just love hearing it.
Ruby Tuesday – Melanie (1971)
It was a toss-up between the Rolling Stones and Melanie, both are equally good.
Sailing – Rod Stewart (1975)
A brilliant song from the ‘Atlantic Crossing’ album. Just love it.
The House of the Rising Sun – The Animals (1964)
Here is a song we all love to imitate and try to sing with baritone voices. You can’t but help to sing along with it, it is so good.
Good Vibrations – The Beach Boys (1966)
What can you say about this masterful song. Just brilliant.
Hey Jude – The Beatles (1968)
One of my favourite Beatles songs, made even better when my wife and I visited the Cavern Club in Liverpool in 2016. A band was playing this song and the crowd was singing along: “na na na na na na na…”. Great memories.
Itchycoo Park – The Small Faces (1967)
This song sends shivers down my spine, it is just so good.
Crimson and Clover – Tommy James & The Shondells (1968)
One of the better psychedelic songs around, and when it goes into the chorus it is just brilliant.
Seasons of Change – Blackfeather (1971)
Great opening guitar work and lyrics.
Night Moves – Bob Seger (1976)
One of my favourite Bob Seger songs, along with ‘Mainstreet’.
Ginger Man – Brian Cadd (1972)
Just a sweet song.
Kung Fu Fighting – Carl Douglas (1974)
Who hasn’t sung along to this beauty?!
Father and Son – Cat Stevens (1970)
Just a nice song about a father and his son.
My Sweet Lord – George Harrison (1970)
One of George’s best songs.
Because I Love You – The Masters Apprentices (1970)
A great emotional song.
Old Man – Neil Young (1972)
Great vocals by Neil Young, love this song.
Jump Into the Fire – Nilsson (1972)
Great rocky song.
Wings of an Eagle – Russell Morris (1972)
One of the great songs by Russell.
