Wikipedia:
The Bangin’ Man was released in 1974 as a non-album single. It was written by Noddy and Jim while Slade was touring Australia.
The song’s lyrics refer to Slade’s tour manager Graham “Swinn” Swinnerton, who had the job of waking each band member up in their hotel rooms, ready to head on to the next destination of their tour.
The single release followed Everyday and marked a return to Slade’s rock-based sound.

Lyrics:
When you wake up in the mornin′
And you can’t remember much about the night before
Then the lady who′s beside you gets up
She goes right out and locks the bathroom door
And your head won’t stop singin’
The phone won′t stop ringin′
Your plane is gonna leave at 12.15
It was close to 6 o’clock
Before you got to know a little dream
