The original Bohemian Rhapsody is a complex piece of music, masterfully performed by Queen. The accomplished group of musicians and vocalists released the single in 1975, going to number one in Australia and many other countries. Freddy Mercury referred to Bohemian Rhapsody as a “mock opera” that came from combining three songs he had written.
Bohemian Rhapsody has been covered many times, by artists as diverse as Pink and The Wiggles. However, this performance on the largest pipe organ in the world has been highly praised, attracting almost 4,700,000 views on YouTube since being posted in 2020. It features organist Joshua Stafford playing his own spectacular arrangement on the Midmer-Losh pipe organ which has 33,112 pipes.
The Boardwalk Hall Auditorium Organ, also known as the Midmer-Losh and the Poseidon, is the pipe organ in the main auditorium of the landmark Boardwalk Hall (formerly known as Convention Hall) in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The clip above is from their Boardwalk Organs YouTube channel.
