Wikipedia:
Gerry Humphrys initially managed rock’n’rollers the Valentines (with vocalists Bon Scott and Vince Lovegrove). He is best known for his work with The Loved Ones (vocals and harmonica) which was only around from 1965 to 1967 (with a brief reformation in 1987).
In 1971 he formed Gerry and The Joy Band, a floating aggregation that included members of Daddy Cool and the Aztecs. Among the Joy Band at different times were Warren Morgan, Ross Wilson, Ross Hannaford, Gary Young and Lobby Loyde.
Gerry and the Joy Band released two singles: Rave On and Ongo Bongo.
Gerry hosted the inaugural Sunbury Pop Festival in 1972. In 1973 he returned to London in an unsuccessful attempt to save his failing marriage, giving up his music career to become a psychiatric nurse.
