The Party Boys (1982-1992) were an Australian rock band with a floating membership that mostly performed cover versions. Hold Your Head Up was co-written by Rod Argent and originally recorded by his band Argent (link below).
By 1987, the Party Boys members were Kevin Borich on guitar and backing vocals, John Brewster on guitar and backing vocals, Paul Christie on drums and backing vocals, Richard Harvey on drums, Alan Lancaster on bass guitar and backing vocals, and John Swan on lead vocals.
Their 1987 The Party Boys album has four original songs and the rest are covers, originally recorded by Argent, John Kongos, Them, the Angels, La De Das and AC/DC. It Could Have Been You was originally released by the Party Boys’ frontman John Swan as a solo single.
