The English band Argent was named for their keyboard player Rod Argent, previously a member of The Zombies. Argent’s guitarist Russ Ballard sang lead on Hold Your Head Up.
The song was written for them by Chris White who was also in The Zombies and who now produced Argent, as well as being a co-writer with Rod.
