The Bells, aka The Five Bells, were a Canadian soft rock band from Montreal, Quebec, active from 1964 to 1974. They released five albums and several singles, with only Stay Awhile charting in Australia.
Stay Awhile was written by Canadian singer-songwriter Ken Tobias, who is best remembered for this song. He also had several top-selling recordings of his own in Canada.
Lead vocals on Stay Awhile are by Jacki Ralph and Cliff Edwards (who also played harmonica), and the piano was played by Canadian pianist Frank Mills who reached #14 in Australia in 1979 with Music Box Dancer.
