Wikipedia:
The title of this song, Amoureuse, is the French equivalent of the English adjective “amorous”. In the context of this song it means “woman in love”. Amoureuse was composed by French singer-songwriter Véronique Sanson and was the title track of her acclaimed 1972 album.
A faithfully-translated English language version was recorded by Kiki Dee, produced by Elton John collaborator Gary Osbourne. It was released on the Rocket record label founded by Elton John, along with Bernie Taupin, Gus Dudgeon and others, named after the hit song Rocket Man.
The song was also recorded by Helen Reddy, re-titled Emotion, for her Free and Easy album.
