Wikipedia – UK Squeeze:
In Australia, the band Squeeze was called UK Squeeze owing to legal conflicts arising from an existing Sydney-based band also called “Squeeze”. The Australian band had only released one album, The Squeeze is On, in 1978, alongside several singles. In spite of this, the English band’s albums in Australia were credited to UK Squeeze up to and including 1985’s Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti.

Wikipedia – Cool for Cats:
Cool for Cats features a rare lead vocal performance from cockney-accented Squeeze lyricist and rhythm guitarist Chris Difford.
The title phrase, which Difford felt “was a great song title”, is a reference to the ITV television series Cool for Cats. Difford commented in a 1979 interview: “I don’t know if you’re familiar with the phrase ‘Cool For Cats,’ but it was the first rock ‘n’ roll television show in England during 1959. That’s where the album and single title originated. I just worked it into some personal experiences within the lyrical content.”

She doesn’t mind the language, it’s the beatin’ she don’t need
