Wikipedia:
The folk-influenced pop group came together in Melbourne in 1962 with Judith Durham on vocals, piano and tambourine; Athol Guy on double bass and vocals; Keith Potger on twelve-string guitar, banjo and vocals; and Bruce Woodley on guitar, mandolin, banjo and vocals. The Seekers were the first Australian pop music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States.
I’ll Never Find Another You was recorded in November 1964 at Abbey Road Studios, London. It was written and produced by Tom Springfield, who was also responsible for most of The Seekers’ subsequent hits.
As well as reaching #1 at home in Australia, I’ll Never Find Another You was #1 in the United Kingdom. It was The Seekers’ first UK-released single, and it was the second-best-selling of 1965 in the UK. The song was also popular in the United States, reaching peaks of #4 pop and #2 easy listening on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
I’ll Never Find Another You was added to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia’s Sounds of Australia registry in 2011.
