Wikipedia:
Founded by the American songwriter Kenny Young, along with most of the members from his previous band Fox, the British band Yellow Dog enjoyed a solitary Top 10 hit in both the UK and Australia in 1978 with Just One More Night. The single was written and produced by Young. It ends on a humorous note with a telephone call in which the protagonist (a woman) continues to beg to be allowed to stay “just one more night” after being told emphatically “No!”, and for this reason is considered something of a novelty song.
Yellow Dog’s only other successful song was Wait Until Midnight – #54 in the UK, #74 in Australia.

Lyrics:
In the Flamingo club on the south east side
Sits Rodrigues and his brand new bride
An ex-patron met him down by the riverside
It started when she lost her man
He ran off with a blonde in a black sedan
And she, she got no place to stay
He heard her sweet voice say
Ah One more night, just one more night
Could I please stay just one more night
I’ll be leavin’ in the morning if that’s alright
Could I stay could I please stay could I could I
Could I please stay one more night
