From a Radio Engine to the Photon Wing was released in 1977 and is the ninth album by Michael Nesmith and eighth studio album as a singer/songwriter during his post-Monkees career.
Nesmith released one single from it, Rio. Because the song ran for around 7 minutes on the album, approximately 3 minutes was edited out for the 7″ single release.
A promotional video for Rio was created by Nesmith, William Dear and William E Martin.
