Wikipedia:
The music for the song April Love was composed by Sammy Fain and lyrics were by Paul Francis Webster. It was written as the theme song for a 1957 film of the same name. Helped by the release of the film, April Love became a #1 hit in the United States for Pat Boone, and in 1958 was nominated for an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song.
The film is based on the novel Phantom Filly by George Agnew Chamberlain. At the beginning of the shoot in Kentucky, Boone was in a car accident while filming a scene. He was a passenger in a car which was to be overtaken by a car driven by two local girls; the cars collided but Boone was uninjured. Boone did not kiss Shirley Jones on screen for fear of upsetting his wife.

April love is for the very young
Every star’s a wishing star that shines for you
April love is all the seven wonders
