Wikipedia:
Anticipation is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Carly Simon, released in 1971. The closing song, her version of Kris Kristofferson’s I’ve Got to Have You, was released as a single in Australia and reached the Top 10 of the Australian charts in 1972.
The title track to the Anticipation album was written in 15 minutes while Simon waited for Cat Stevens to pick her up for a date. The pair had become romantically involved shortly after Simon had opened for Stevens at LA’s Troubadour around the time her debut album was released.

Lyrics:
You came smilin′ softly, shyly movin’
Easy as a dream up into my room.
And before I realized the danger
I found myself looking into your eyes.
Somewhere in their colours I saw promises
Of things I′d never seen before
It’s all over… I’ve got to have you.
