Wikipedia:
I’m Gonna Knock on Your Door was originally released by the Isley Brothers in 1959 and became a hit for teenage actor Eddie Hodges in 1961. It peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in America; at #1 in Australia, Canada, Netherlands and Sweden; and made the top 40 in Belgium, Norway and the UK.
The song resurfaced in Australia in the 1980s when it was used by the Red Cross for a door-knocking donation awareness campaign on television.
Eddie Hodges was 14 when he recorded I’m Gonna Knock on Your Door. He was a child actor on stage, and in film and television. Eddie had three other songs in the Top 100 in Australia, between 1962 and 1965.
After returning from military service, Eddie moved away from show business. Following university studies, he worked as a mental health counselor.

Lyrics:
I′m gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell
Tap on your window too
If you don’t come out tonight when the moon is bright
I′m gonna knock and ring and tap until you do
